Find an IBCLC

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, IBCLC, is a health care professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. The International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners Inc certifies IBCLCs. Many IBCLCs in BC are also Registered Nurses and work in a variety of hospital and public health facilities. Some IBCLCs are also in private practice. See below for a list of IBCLCs who are available in your area.

Because new members join at any time, it is possible that not all IBCLCs in BC who want to be listed are there yet. Check back! Some IBCLCs are in hospitals and not necessarily in the list below. If you can not find an IBCLC in your area, try asking your doctor or your local health unit for a list of people who might be available.

The BC Lactation Consultants Association does not endorse the services of any of our members. Potential clients need to do their own check on anyone they may wish to see for breastfeeding or other assistance.
